OUR BACKGROUND

We are Jen Toll and Christine Handte, the girls behind Girls Gone Vinyl. I'm Jen, and I've had a love of signs since 1979 when my father started his sign business Toll Graphics, and I would play sign-maker as a small child and help out over the summers at his shop. I was so into it that I started a boat lettering business in my youth, but it's hard when you go to grade school and can't drive a car! After high school graduation I went straight to work for my father full-time, working my way up and learning everything I could until I eventually became the entire art department. I also wore the hats of account mgr, shipping mgr, office mgr, secretary, and many more.

So when it neared retirement for my dad it was a no-brainer what I would do next. By this time I had already infected Christine with the sign bug. She had come to assist me make some banners for the high-school athletic teams she coaches and she was a natural. We also worked great together, so starting a business with her was the obvious choice. 

We love what we do, and we hope it shows in the quality of our work and customer service.
